Autumn Fairy House

Autumn blessings! This is my absolute FAVORITE time of the year! I love the cooler weather, the changing colors of the leaves, the piles of leaves....the fairies love this time of year too! I built them a fairy house, perfect for Autumn. It is a cozy fairy house complete with river rock siding, a small chimney, bronze tiles on the roof, a few autumn leaves that floated down from nearby trees, some pine cones, a sparkly stone path leading to the door and a fairy gazing ball! See the photo below for the before and after photos.

I made this house with polymer clay. I formed the mushroom type shape over a glass jar with a lid. I formed each and every roof tile by hand, glued on each river rock for the outside, made the door from clay and etched in grooves to make it look like wood. I painted the roof and the door with water color paint. I put the entire house on an upside down plated and added the moss for a forest fairy effect. One of the adorable finishing touches besides the sparkly glass stones leading to the door, is the fairy gazing ball. It took several hours and several days to complete this Autumn Fairy House, but I am in love with how it turned out!

The completed Autumn Fairy House is available at my Etsy shop: This piece is for indoor use only. I am sure the fairies in your house will appreciate it!

Have a fairy wonderful Autumn season!
